PARTICIPANTS:

The logo consists of two animals. This is representative for our Indigenous Peoples accompanied by the initials «CEFO» and the word «INDIGENOUS» taking into consideration that one of the animals is the tiger, symbol of the strength and courage of our Indigenous Peoples. It shows that despite everything, our peoples have strong beliefs and courage in continuing to maintain our culture, customs. The Toucan, in this image is an animal that is known by all our peoples, demonstrating that it is a symbol of beauty.

In the center of the image there is a window in the form of a monitor and the keyboard of a computer. It is the representation of a window of hope for the indigenous nations, which projects from the inside out the acronym CEFO and the image of a man and a woman from the symbolism of Wayuu mathematics. The figure of the man in the form of a square (straight lines) and the woman in the form of a circle and spiral (curved lines), both human figures holding a spear, which means gender equality. In the background you can see the colors purple, yellow and red representing united in diversity. On the sides of the monitor you can see some texts that represent the collection of texts in different colors symbolizing diversity of thought, different worldviews, languages, cultures and law, under the need to systematize the wisdom of the peoples necessary to transcend in time and space, without forget orality, both elements (book and computer) appropriate from technology of non-Indigenous People for the defense of the territory and everything that it’s made up of: water, flora, fauna and biodiversity. In the upper part a rising sun is visualized, representing justice «the sun rises for all without distinction» and in the center of the sun, a plant that indicates a network, the root is the organization and the leaves present the integration of each people in defense of their rights. That plant with a well-sustained root of the earth, that not even floods and strong winds can uproot. It symbolizes that Indigenous Peoples can resist any threat that affects them.
