The tool addresses the challenge of how to monitor and verify conformance of FPIC requirements where projects affect or have the potential to affect Indigenous Peoples and is aligned with ILO Convention 169 and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. It allows all parties in the FPIC process to track progress, and provides a portal to a document archive, helping everyone in the process organise multi-media evidence relevant to the FPIC process in an easily accessible format.

FPIC-360° is an Equitable Origin initiative in partnership with the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) and the Coordinator of Indigenous Organizations of the Amazon River Basin (COICA). This project is co-financed by the ISEAL Innovations Fund, which is supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO.

For more information on FPIC-360°visit: www.fpic360.org

On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, Equitable Origin, TDi Sustainability and the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) presented the FPIC-360 ° Tool, a framework that allows right holders and participants in the FPIC process to carry out a track, verify and document progress towards FPIC.
