Over the past year, Equitable Origin has partnered with the Coordinator of Indigenous Organizations of the Amazon River Basin (COICA) to design and develop a virtual resource hub – CEFO Indígena – that collates training material, tools and information to support Indigenous Peoples in understanding and asserting their rights, and to enable their active participation in decisions about land-use and natural resource development.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve seen that marginalized communities, including Indigenous Peoples, are among the most vulnerable and have been the hardest hit. For this reason, we are focusing on producing resources, blogs and video interviews on the right to health and how our indigenous partner organizations and their communities are responding to the virus.
